Privacy Policy

Your game progress stays on your device. To keep the app running and free, we use Google for privacy-respecting analytics and ads. Here is exactly what that means.

Summary

1 · Who we are

Ballpark is developed by Vladislav Mershkov ("we", "us"). This Policy explains what data the app handles, what our service providers collect on our behalf, and the choices you have. For anything unclear, contact us at merbelcorp@outlook.com.

We do not run user accounts, sign-in, or a backend server of our own. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location. The data described below is either kept on your device or collected by the third-party services named in this Policy.

2 · Data stored on your device

To make the game work, the app stores the following locally on your device only. This data never reaches a server of ours:

If you delete the app, this data is removed by iOS along with it. We have no copy and no ability to recover it. If you have enabled iCloud Backup, your device may include the app's local data in your encrypted Apple backup, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

3 · Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how players use Ballpark — for example how many people finish the Daily Five, which screens are visited, and whether a purchase or restore succeeded. This helps us fix problems and decide what to build next.

Analytics data is aggregated and pseudonymous. It is tied to an app-instance identifier generated by Google, not to your identity. Depending on your consent and settings, it may include:

This data is processed by Google as our service provider. See Firebase Privacy & Security and Google's Privacy Policy.

4 · Advertising

Ballpark's free tier shows occasional full-screen (interstitial) ads, delivered by Google AdMob. Ads appear only at natural breaks — after you finish a quiz — and never during a question. Premium subscribers do not see ads at all.

To serve, cap, and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process:

If you consent, ads may be personalized (more relevant to you). If you do not, you still see ads, but non-personalized ones based only on coarse, non-tracking context. Advertising data is processed by Google and its ad partners; for how Google uses it, see How Google uses information from apps that use its services and AdMob & privacy.

5 · App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, before any data is used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies (including use of the IDFA for personalized advertising), the app shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and honours your choice.

You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

6 · Your consent choices (EEA / UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another region that requires it, the app presents a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before ads are requested, letting you accept or manage how your data is used for advertising and measurement. Your choice is stored on your device and respected on future launches. You can be shown the form again to change your decision.

7 · Purchases (subscriptions)

Ballpark offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (for example, monthly and yearly Premium access) sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device Settings under your Apple ID.

8 · Notifications

With your permission, the app can schedule local reminders (for example, a daily reminder to play). These notifications are generated and scheduled on your device using Apple's UserNotifications framework. No reminder data is sent to us or to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

9 · Third-party service providers

The services below process data as described above. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles that data:

These providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on the safeguards described in the providers' own policies.

10 · Data retention

On-device data lives on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google according to their retention policies and the settings on our accounts; we keep only aggregated, non-identifying reports. RevenueCat retains subscription records as needed to manage your entitlement.

11 · Children's privacy

Ballpark is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and ads are configured for a general audience. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, contact us and we will address it.

12 · Your rights

Depending on your region (for example, GDPR in the EU/UK, or CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to opt out of certain uses. Because we hold no account data ourselves, you can exercise most controls directly:

13 · Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this Policy and revise the "Last updated" date before the change takes effect. Significant changes may also be highlighted in the app or on this site.

14 · Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at merbelcorp@outlook.com (Vladislav Mershkov).
